The Drisha Beit Midrash program affords qualified women the opportunity to engage in life-transforming, full time Jewish learning. Whether taking a year off to learn Torah lishma (for the sake of learning) or testing out a potential career path, the study of Talmud, halakha and Tanakh through the Beit Midrash program will prove to be a rewarding experience.
The Beit Midrash program is offered on intermediate and advanced levels, depending on students’ backgrounds. Students learn from renowned faculty and deepen their experience with the text through havruta (partner) learning. The program runs from September through May.
Participants may apply for a second year. Full time students may be awarded a tuition waiver and/or a living stipend.
Prerequisites for admission include prior experience studying Chumash with traditional commentaries and sufficient background to study Talmud using the Vilna Shas edition.
